Manchester United’s Radek Vitek has been drawing attention to himself while on loan at Bristol City this season.
Over the summer transfer window, Manchester United made sweeping changes to their goalkeeping department with Senne Lammens signed for £18m.
He was brought in to replace Andre Onana, who joined Trabzonspor on loan. Lammens starred on his United debut in a comfortable 2-0 win over Sunderland and will now hope to start against Liverpool at Anfield.
After keeping a clean sheet on his debut, United fans fell in love with Lammens with supporters chanting about comparisons to Peter Schmeichel.
The 23-year-old now has a golden opportunity to cement his position as Ruben Amorim’s first-choice shot-stopper, but he could face some fierce competition in the summer from Radek Vitek.

Radek Vitek is already a fan favourite on loan
Another goalkeeping move made by United over the summer was to send Carrington graduate Vitek out on loan to Championship side Bristol City.
Vitek was named Player of the Month at Bristol City after a blazing start to the season, and he is showing no signs of slowing down.
In their latest 1-0 win over Norwich City on Saturday, Bristol fans were quick to show their love to Vitek again.
As spotted by journalist Dan Carter, Bristol City fans were chanting “Vitek we love you” as he kept his fourth clean sheet in the Championship this season.
At just 21 years old, he has immediately become the first-choice goalkeeper at Ashton Gate, and his performances must be a talking point at Carrington.
Radek Vitek has earned Man United opportunity
It has become increasingly clear that Vitek has been United’s best loanee this season, which will excite staff back at Old Trafford.
United are at a point where their goalkeeping department is in transition with Lammens staking a claim for the first-choice spot, while Altay Bayindir continues to fight for his future in Manchester.
Vitek is set to spend the rest of the 2025/26 campaign at Bristol City, but when he returns to Manchester in the summer, he has earned himself a shot at sticking around in the first team.

Vitek still has a future at United, and at the least he deserves a chance in pre-season to challenge Lammens for the No.1 spot.
After suffering with Onana and Bayindir last season, it seems United could soon have two of the most exciting, young goalkeeping talents in Europe on their books.
