One eagle-eyed Manchester United fan caught a side to Erik ten Hag not often seen on cameras after the Red Devils’ 7-0 demolition of Barnsley in the Carabao Cup.

The Red Devils built on their momentum in the post-September international break with a dominating display against League One side Barnsley on Tuesday evening.

Marcus Rashford opened the scoring for Manchester United in the first half before Antony netted from the spot-kick in the third-round Carabao Cup encounter.

Alejandro Garnacho put United 3-0 up in first-half injury time before the United winger completed his brace only four minutes into the second half.

Marcus Rashford, much like Alejandro Garnacho, netted in the second half before Christian Eriksen scored a brace inside four minutes to seal the United win.

Ten Hag during Man Utd win

One Manchester United fan on TikTiok posted a compilation of footage they collected from the Red Devils’ steamrolling of Barnsley at Old Trafford.

TikTok user TylerRichmond was stationed behind the likes of Erik ten Hag, assistant manager Ruud van Nistelrooy and the United players on the bench for the match.

TylerRichmond showed moments that included receiving handshakes from United boss Ten Hag and Red Devils legend Ruud van Nistelrooy.

However, another standout moment from the clip featured Ten Hag barking instructions to his United players while sat in his seat at Old Trafford.

The 54-year-old Dutchman could be heard yelling ‘higher’ as a clear-cut instruction to his players, despite United dominating the third-round Carabao Cup match.

Ten Hag thrilled with Man Utd result

United will resume their Premier League campaign on Saturday when they travel to Selhurst Park for their encounter with Crystal Palace.

The Red Devils returned to winning ways after the international break, with United picking up a well-earned 3-0 victory over Southampton at the St Mary’s.

Ten Hag welcomed United’s strong start to their Carabao Cup campaign and their comfortable result against Barnsley at Old Trafford.

“First of all, it was a difficult start but, once we found the shape, it’s not so weird because it’s the first time this team is playing together,” he told MUTV, as per Manchester United’s official website.

“But once we found the shape and the patterns, we scored some great goals, starting with [Marcus] Rashford which was a brilliant goal but I’d also say some other goals were really good.

“We played with a lot of speed and we were very ruthless in front of the goal.”
