Chido Obi-Martin is making a real name for himself at Old Trafford and Ruben Amorim could be set to make a huge call around the Manchester United talent.
The 17-year-old Manchester United forward became part of the Red Devils youth academy back in September after he left Premier League rivals Arsenal.
Chido Obi-Martin has earned a reputation as a promising prospect and the United player has already emerged in the Red Devils first team in the current campaign.
Ruben Amorim’s injury-hit first-team squad and underperforming forward options have left the door open for Chido Obi to feature under him this season.
Chido Obi has made three senior appearances for United in recent weeks, including featuring twice for the Red Devils in the Premier League under Amorim.
Amorim handed the highly rated former Arsenal academy product his United debut last month after a brief cameo in the 1-0 Premier League away defeat to Tottenham.
Chido Obi went on to secure more valuable first-team minutes with a much lengthier cameo display in the 2-2 Premier League draw against Everton at Goodison Park.

Chido Obi’s impact at Man Utd
Chido Obi-Martin received his longest cameo to date for Manchester United on the weekend in the Red Devils’ FA Cup exit at the hands of Fulham.
The United attacker came off the bench in the 68th minute and replaced struggling Red Devils striker Rasmus Hojlund for the fifth-round FA Cup tie at Old Trafford.
Chido Obi played the rest of the second half and the 30 minutes of extra time, with the United youngster impressing with a steady cameo in the frontline.
GiveMeSport now reports that ‘influential figures at Manchester United’ have been left ‘impressed’ by what Chido Obi has shown so far at the Premier League club.
According to the publication, Chido Obi’s ‘energy levels and ability’ to put himself in ‘dangerous positions’ on the pitch has caught the eye of influential club figures.
Amorim’s big decision over Chido Obi
GiveMeSport added that United manager Ruben Amorim is ‘tempted to reward’ Chido Obi with his ‘first senior start’ for the Red Devils in the ‘coming weeks.’
The former Sporting CP boss has seen his strikers struggle since his arrival at Old Trafford last November, with Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee both struggling.
Chido Obi is unable to be selected in the upcoming first-leg Europa League last-16 clash against La Liga club Real Sociedad on Thursday at the Anoeta Stadium.
United will welcome Arsenal to Old Trafford on Sunday for their Premier League clash and Chido Obi could make his first Red Devils star against his former side.
GiveMeSport claimed that United are ‘desperate’ to ensure that Chido Obi’s ‘confidence’ is not ‘impacted’ and Amorim could turn to the player this weekend.
