Amad Diallo has had an underwhelming season which has led to questions about his future at Manchester United.
Last season, Amad Diallo was outstanding as a right wing-back in Ruben Amorim’s setup and one of the silver linings of an otherwise miserable season.
But since the £65m arrival of Bryan Mbeumo in the summer, Amad Diallo has fallen down the pecking order, especially under Michael Carrick where he finds himself competing for a right-wing spot.
Amad has been in poor form, and with no goals or assists for United in 2026, his future has come into question.

What is your verdict on Amad’s 2025/26 season?
What are the main areas Amad needs to improve? How does he do it?
Andy Mitten updates on Amad Diallo’s future
Ineos are expected to overhaul United’s squad this summer, mainly focused on the midfield department.
But several sales are expected, including potential exits for first-team players Manuel Ugarte and Joshua Zirkzee.
Speaking on the Talk of the Devils Podcast, Andy Mitten claimed that Amad is not being bundled with those players and is expected to stay put at Old Trafford.
“I absolutely don’t want to write him off because I think the potential is there,” Mitten said on Amad.
“I don’t want to put him in the same category as Zirkzee because I’ve not heard any indication whatsoever that Manchester United might consider moving Amad on.”
Does Amad need to produce more for Manchester United?
The Ivorian is the clear odd one out right now.
Shea Lacey could threaten Amad Diallo’s Man Utd spot
Next season, United will compete in four competitions after qualifying for the Champions League. That means more opportunities for Amad, but there will also be more competition for places.
Academy youngster Shea Lacey made an exciting breakthrough this season, although he has not been back in action since his red card against Brighton.
However, the 19-year-old is ready to push on next season and challenge for a first-team spot, and he will have his sights set on a right-wing position.
That adds even more pressure for Amad to get back to his best, otherwise he could find himself behind Mbeumo and Lacey in the pecking order.
