Ruben Amorim was asked about strengthening his Manchester United squad following the defeat to Wolves.
The Premier League continues to be an issue for Ruben Amorim with Manchester United losing 1-0 to Wolves at Old Trafford.
Amorim explained why United struggle in the Premier League after the win over Lyon, with the Portuguese coach suggesting that his players don’t particularly cope well with the physical demands.
In the summer, fans can expect Ineos’ transfer strategy to be focused on adding pace and power to Amorim’s side. That was certainly the case in the winter when Ayden Heaven and Patrick Dorgu were signed.

Ruben Amorim discusses Man United transfer talks
United dominated Wolves on Sunday afternoon but Rasmus Hojlund is in a confidence crisis and struggled to take any chances that came his way.
The Red Devils were punished for their lack of quality in front of goal, and it has once again raised the argument that United need to sign a new striker in the summer.
After the Wolves defeat, Amorim was asked if he would receive the required support from Ineos to strengthen his side.
As quoted by Manchester United, Amorim said: “We will see everything. We have to look at everything, our squad and what we need to improve, the opportunities that we have on the market.
“We have everything [under discussion]. We talked about that [financial backing]. We talk every day about the next season.
“So we are doing everything with time. We will get the effort we need to improve the team.”
Ruben Amorim is building a strong connection with Jason Wilcox
After Dan Ashworth’s exit as sporting director, Jason Wilcox was promoted by Ineos to play a bigger role in the club’s recruitment process.
In the summer, Wilcox will work closely with Amorim to identify key targets and strengthen this United squad that is crying out for reinforcements.
At the start of the month, Amorim praised his relationship with Wilcox, explaining that the pair are working well together behind the scenes as they plan for next season.

“We need to have a great connection. I was so lucky to work with Hugo. It’s not exactly the same but is more or less the same relationship with Jason, so in that department, I’m completely relaxed,” Amorim said.
Wilcox has devised a game model for Amorim to work under at United, and it feels inevitable that they will both want a new striker to arrive in the summer among other new signings.
