Copenhagen are confident of pulling off a victory over Manchester United in the crucial Champions League showdown this week.
Manchester United edged ahead of Copenhagen in the Champions League group with a 1-0 win at Old Trafford, to begin chasing down Galatasaray.
However, the way United just about scraped the win, courtesy of a header from Harry Maguire and injury-time penalty save from Andre Onana, has worked to give Copenhagen hope heading into the group stage match in Denmark.
Danish legend Preben Elkjær told Tipsbladet after the first leg: “I will say when they meet this team next time. FCK at home. Then I think that FCK are favourites. Because it is one of the worst things I have seen from a Manchester United team.”
This is a view shared by Copenhagen player Kevin Diks, who is feeling confident.

Copenhagen full-back Kevin Diks agrees his side are the favourites to beat Manchester United.
He told Bold.dk: “I would say we are. We are in the Park and we have the fans behind us. We have had magical evenings in the Park and this will help us
“I am not saying that we are always favorites against them. But we have shown what we can do against them. We are in a good position, so with our game plan we can make it difficult for all opponents in the Park. We will see. But of course I see us as favourites.
“It’s the little things that decide the matches in the Champions League. You see that many raise their level in the big matches, and if you don’t take the last sprint, you don’t win those matches.”
Diks played against Erik ten Hag in the Eredivisie but ended up on the losing side both times, just like at Old Trafford.
Copenhagen optimism
Diks’ teammate Lukas Lerager is excited for the game, commenting: “These are matches you don’t just get every season.”
He added: “European nights in Copenhagen’ are just special. They do something to us, they do something to the fans. It just buzzes a little more in there.
“I had also hoped that we could do it against Bayern, but we didn’t. Now we believe we can do it on Wednesday.”
Copenhagen have won their last three domestic games since their defeat at Old Trafford. Manchester United have lost two and won one.
