Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford continued his incredible scoring streak in the Carabao Cup quarter-final win over Charlton.

Rashford came off the bench to score two injury time goals to wrap up a 3-0 victory.

In doing so, Rashford matched a previous record set by Wayne Rooney for scoring in consecutive home games, now up to eight in a row.

Rashford is now up to 15 goals for the season, with a further six assists to his name.

Rooney praises Rashford

Rooney noted Rashford’s brilliance, sending a message to his former teammate on Twitter.

He wrote: “Class @MarcusRashford. Let’s keep it going….”

Rashford has a big challenge to continue his streak when Manchester United face Manchester City this weekend.

The England international has scored against City before, he struck a winner against them as a teenager, but his record against them has been leaner in recent times.

He has four goals in 16 games against City, with the most recent a consolation goal in January 2020.

It’s about time he got back on track against them, and the way he is playing, nobody would be brave enough to bet against him.
