Manchester United ace Casemiro led the Red Devils to an important victory at the weekend with an acrobatic winning goal.
Casemiro netted his sixth goal of the season for Manchester United and it was a vital one, earning the team a 1-0 victory away at Bournemouth.
The Brazilian midfielder’s display earned praise from injured teammate Lisandro Martinez, who lauded him as a ‘top top player’.
He was not the only one to take notice, with United legend Wayne Rooney also paying his respects to the matchwinner’s performance.
Wayne Rooney nod to Casemiro
Manchester United’s record goalscorer Wayne Rooney left a message on Casemiro’s Instagram feed, showing his admiration for the former Real Madrid ace.
Rooney posted a couple of emojis applauding Casemiro’s strong performance, and of course his acrobatic goal which was one he would have been proud of.
The victory moved Manchester United a step closer to securing Champions League qualification for next season. Just one point is now required from the final two matches.
The Champions League is a competition Casemiro has won five times with Real Madrid, and he will be proud to represent Manchester United in it.
This summer the club will attempt to replenish the squad with more quality, and give Erik ten Hag a good chance to do well in the competition next season. With Casemiro in the team, we always have a chance.
