Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof has insisted that “everyone” at Old Trafford has the same target that they want the Red Devils to achieve this season.
The Red Devils’ remaining run of fixtures are in the Premier League and the FA Cup, with Manchester United reaching the quarter-finals in the latter.
United’s Carabao Cup title defence fell short this season and the Red Devils finished bottom of Group A in the Champions League.
Erik ten Hag’s men will push for a top-four Premier League finish, but United face an uphill task in securing Champions League football for next season.
However, the United boss could still walk away with major silverware in the current campaign should the Red Devils progress in the FA Cup.
Erik ten Hag came within touching distance of the FA Cup in his debut season at Old Trafford, only to fall short after a 2-1 defeat to Manchester City in the 2023 final.
The 54-year-old Dutchman is keen for United to book their place at Wembley and compete for the trophy again this season.

Lindelof on Man Utd objective
Before Manchester United can lick their lips at the prospects of reaching the FA Cup semi-finals, Erik ten Hag’s men face their toughest challenge in the competition so far.
The Red Devils will welcome rivals Liverpool to Old Trafford on Sunday for their quarter-final clash, with kick-off scheduled for 3:30pm UK time.
Speaking ahead of Liverpool’s trip to Old Trafford, Victor Lindelof insisted that “everyone” at United wants to lift the FA Cup this season.
The 29-year-old Sweden captain added that United should “always compete for trophies” and the FA Cup is the perfect opportunity to challenge for silverware.
“I think everyone at the club wants it,” he told Manchester United’s official website.
“A club like United should always compete for trophies every year and, at least, try to win something each year as well.
“We have an opportunity to do that with the FA Cup this year. And that’s obviously a goal that we have as a team, and we’re going to do our best to try to achieve it because everyone really wants that.”
Lindelof on wanting to be a ‘leader’
Lindelof has opened up on his time at United and the Red Devils defender has tipped one of his talented teammates to have a bright future at Old Trafford.
The Sweden international has also praised another “fantastic” United player, who has shown the “right mentality” this season and is “very mature for his age.”
Lindelof admitted that he is always keen to help “everyone at the club” and has always adopted a “leader” role where and when he can.
“I always try to be a leader and try to help everyone at the club, to share my experiences, what I’ve been through and what you can think in certain situations,” he said.
“I think it’s very, very important to do that and just find the right moment to talk to players, or even staff, or whoever it is.
“It’s always nice to just help. And that’s just the person I am. I try to do it and, hopefully, someone listens and can get some help from that.”
