Usain Bolt drops bold 14-word Ruben Amorim prediction after Liverpool draw, even Man Utd fans left deeply surprised

Jamaica legend Usain Bolt wasted no time dropping his biggest prediction to date for Manchester United after Ruben Amorim’s men played out a 2-2 draw with Liverpool.

Ruben Amorim’s side had lost their last four matches across all competitions ahead of their showdown with Premier League rivals Liverpool at Anfield.

Manchester United have been winless since their sensational 2-1 comeback win against crosstown rivals Manchester City at the Etihad in December 2024.

The Red Devils bounced back from their 2-0 Premier League defeat to Newcastle at Old Trafford last month with a strong showing against Liverpool on Sunday.

Lisandro Martinez broke the deadlock for United in the second half before Liverpool star Cody Gakpo pulled the Reds level with an equaliser at Anfield.

Liverpool took the lead in the contest after being awarded a penalty, with Mohamed Salah stepping up and beating Andre Onana from the spot-kick.

Amad Diallo cancelled out Mohamed Salah’s penalty with a crucial equaliser late into the contest and United secured their first Premier League point in 2025.

Bolt’s huge prediction for Man Utd and Amorim

Manchester United are 13th in the Premier League table and the Red Devils are seven points clear of 18th-place Ipswich Town after their recent run of form.

Ruben Amorim is unlikely to lead United to a Premier League top-four place in the 2024-25 campaign after the Red Devils’ lacklustre season.

United have only managed six league wins from 20 matches so far and Amorim’s men are now a whopping 13 points off from fourth-place Chelsea.

Usain Bolt took to social media platform X, formerly Twitter, and said that United could “win the league” if they put in the same “fight” as they did against Liverpool.

“If we can play with this fight [in] every game, @ManUtd will win the league,” he wrote.

It remains unclear if the United-supporting Bolt meant this season or a future campaign, but the former Olympian’s tweet caught the eye of a lot of fans.

Amorim talks Man Utd performance at Anfield

Amorim welcomed the performance from the United players against Liverpool and the Red Devils manager praised the “mentality” that was shown on the pitch.

“I want to see my team play so much better, but I think the most important thing to address today is the mentality,” he said in his post-match press conference, as per Manchester United’s official website.

“And that [mentality] is the key for everything. So today we were a different team, not because of the system, not because of the technical aspect of the game, the tactical aspect of the game, we faced the competition in the way that we’re supposed to face every day – training and match.

“It doesn’t matter the place, the opponent, we need to face every day like that.”
