Manchester United have an opportunity to sell a current star to a European giant, steal their target and ultimately get better in the process.
Sounds like a decent deal, right? Well, we think it could potentially happen and the main culprit in the switch would be Scott McTominay.
The £40m-rated star was looking to be sold in the summer, but now it appears Erik ten Hag wants to keep him until at least next season – but we have a better idea.
Scott could be used as leverage for one Premier League star who’s held in high regard. He’s a monster.

Sell McTominay to Bayern Munich
One of the sides that were reportedly interested in the Scotsman’s signature in the summer was Bayern Munich.
They were desperate for a number six and Scott was apparently high on their list of targets.
They ended up with no one, so could it be possible they’ll go back in for him? His fine form at the moment will have definitely piqued their interest once again.
His form has come at the right time. This means, what seemed a somewhat high, valuation of £40m will probably be about right.
His performances for his national side also show what an integral player he could be at a side.
For some reason, he just doesn’t seem to work at Manchester United. Because of this, we think it’s wise to cash in… and then sign someone miles better.
Steal Bayern Munich summer target Palhinha
Bayern were on the verge of completing the signing of Fulham’s Joao Palhinha in the summer, but the deal fell through.
We think he’d be an ideal fit for Manchester United. He’s essentially Casemiro 2.0.
A boisterous six, who has a keen eye for a goal and can pick a pass, Palhinha was an inspired pickup from Fulham.
But he evidently now wants out. He was within an inch of joining Munich – but United should steal him from them in January.

Everybody’s happy!
They’ll get McTominay, we get a big fee and get a better player in the process… everyone wins!
The acquisition of a six wasn’t on anybody’s mind really in the summer, but after Casemiro‘s slow start, it could be a position Ten Hag needs to vacate sooner rather than later.
The Brazilian has definitely lost a yard or two of pace, so Palhinha could be the ideal candidate to replace, or at least give a rest, to the 31-year-old.
