Almeria trio Martin Svidersky, Largie Ramazani and Arnau Puigmal sit bottom of La Liga after deciding to leave Manchester United.
Not everybody can emerge from the youth setup and become a first-team regular like Marcus Rashford or, as we are now seeing, Alejandro Garnacho.
Many talents have to leave United in search of first-team action and there are former United prospects dotted around the world.
Federico Macheda is in Turkey, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson is currently in Poland and James Weir is now off in Slovakia.
Three young talents left United and joined the same Spanish club in consecutive years – but they are now in danger of relegation.
Ex-Manchester United talents sit bottom of La Liga
United saw winger Largie Ramazani leave the club in 2020, quitting the club after three years at Old Trafford.
There were high hopes for Ramazani at United but he chose to leave despite being offered a new contract.
Ramazani headed to Almeria, where he was then joined by another United talent a year later with Arnau Puigmal returning to Spain.
Martin Svidersky was next up as the midfielder moved to Almeria in 2022, but has yet to make his first-team debut for the club.
An injury suffered last season means Svidersky has been unable to play this term and Almeria are now in real trouble.
Almeria sit bottom of the La Liga table with just five points from 19 games – all of which came from draws.
That record of no wins this season leaves Almeria 11 points adrift of safety and in real danger of heading back to Spain’s second tier.
Ramazani, Puigmal and Svidersky were all hoping to shine away from United and flourish with more first-team football.
This has been a tough season for all three though and they look destined to taste relegation unless Almeria pull off a miraculous escape.

Ramazani has attracted interest
Svidersky can hardly be blamed for the struggles given his injury woes and Puigmal has only started three La Liga games so far this season.
Ramazani has been the most prominent of the three, recording two goals and four assists in 19 La Liga games.
The 22-year-old still has real potential and could be a difference-maker down the left flank for Almeria between now and the end of the campaign.
Ramazani may even land himself a transfer in 2024, with Crystal Palace believed to be interested in the former United youngster before the summer window slammed shut.
Almeria’s battle against relegation will be the focus for Ramazani, but we may yet see him in action against United down the line.
