Manchester United’s embarrassing loss to Liverpool left supporters both infuriated and perplexed.
The 7-0 defeat was criticised by manager Erik ten Hag as ‘unprofessional’ with the players pummelled to a 7-0 defeat.
United host Real Betis up next in the Europa League, and we have recommended three key changes Ten Hag should make to the team.
But what if the manager went a step further, and dropped all 11 starters at Anfield?
While perhaps unlikely for such a big Europa League game, it got us thinking, what would and all change XI look like?

The strongest XI Manchester United could name with 11 changes
It is interesting to look at this XI as it highlights the lack of depth Manchester United currently have in attacking areas.
Defensively United do have options, particularly at full-back. We expect both Tyrell Malacia and Aaron Wan-Bissaka to start on Thursday night, with Luke Shaw and Diogo Dalot dropped.
At centre-back, both Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane could probably do with a break. Harry Maguire is fit, although Victor Lindelof’s situation is less certain. He did not make the bench at Anfield due to a minor injury.
In goal Tom Heaton is Manchester United’s back-up. It would be a huge shock if he was called upon instead of David de Gea.
In midfield there is a good chance we do see Marcel Sabitzer this week. He was a late substitute at Anfield, along with Scott McTominay.
Casemiro may be battling an injury, report ESPN, and he is one booking away from a suspension. Fred probably will start, along with one of Sabitzer and McTominay.
Jadon Sancho is a possibility to replace Bruno Fernandes in attacking midfield. It is the front three positions where Manchester United are the lightest, and most inexperienced…

With Anthony Martial still out injured, Anthony Elanga is the next striker option if a decision was made to leave out both Marcus Rashford and Wout Weghorst.
Elanga’s last goal for the club came in February 2022, so this highlights the dearth of striker options at Erik ten Hag’s disposal at present.
Alejandro Garnacho is a good option on the wing, while Facundo Pellistri is an under-utilised one. He has only made four substitute appearances for the club and is yet to start.
