Borussia Dortmund manager Edin Terzic has been the key man behind the potential deal to get Jadon Sancho to Germany, according to reports.
Jadon Sancho has had a torrid time of things of late at Manchester United as the 23-year-old forward finds himself on the periphery of the squad after being exiled by Erik ten Hag.
After Ten Hag revealed that Sancho wasn’t in the squad due to poor training performances, the English forward hit back at these claims on social media which led to a massive rift in their relationship.
Since then, Sancho has been training with the academy team and a move away from the club in January is looking increasingly likely with Borussia Dortmund closing in on signing the forward on loan.

Dortmund’s key man
According to a report from The Athletic, Dortmund boss Edin Terzic has been the key man behind this deal from the German side’s end as they don’t see this transfer as a risk.
Due to the German side signing Sancho on loan and paying a nominal fee for the forward for the season at just £2.5 million, Dortmund don’t believe this to be a risky signing in any way.
The report goes on to say that Terzic played a vital role with the English forward. Back in December 2020, Terzic instructed a couple of staff members to pay special attention to Sancho, making sure he was not late for meetings and also ensured that the player would spend as much time as possible near Erling Haaland, hoping the Norwegian’s professionalism would rub off.
A loan move is what Sancho needs but this once again highlights the naivety of those at United.
United fail in the market again
It is certainly not surprising at this point in time but the Red Devils are floundering hard in the market and have well and truly handed a quality player on a silver plate to Dortmund.
Despite his struggles in England, he joined United for £70 million back in the summer of 2021, a £2.5 million loan fee for a player of his quality is a disgrace.
The hope is that United do not include a buy option in the deal because he could explode into life at Dortmund and increase his value even more so the Red Devils can make more money off of his sale in the summer.
