Aaron Wan-Bissaka needed a big night for Manchester United against Burnley. It could not have possibly gone any better.
Wan-Bissaka kept a clean sheet in the 2-0 win, playing 85 minutes. The real highlight however, was his spectacular volleyed assist for Manchester United’s opening goal.
The right-back connected with Bruno Fernandes’ lofted pass into the area and with an outstretched leg, superbly directed the ball into the box for Christian Eriksen to score.
Eriksen couldn’t miss, and this was the perfect way for Wan-Bissaka to get back on track after a frustrating season.

Ten Hag praises Wan-Bissaka
Erik ten Hag praised Wan-Bissaka after the game and said he was pleased to have him back. Injury limited his opportunities early in the season.
Ten Hag also did not select him when he was available; the right-back played just four minutes before the break.
It appears he took his chance, with Ten Hag impressed, whatever the future holds for the defender, he clearly feels Wan-Bissaka can do a job right now.
He told the club website: “Aaron, we missed him in the first 14 games of the Premier League and we need numbers in the squad but not only numbers, they have to play well and they have to perform.
“He had good preparation for the second half of the season so he’s ready to play and he did quite well today.”
Diogo Dalot is United’s first choice at right-back but he was unavailable for this game due to injury.
Neville hails Wan-Bissaka
Speaking to Sky Sports, Gary Neville also praised the former Crystal Palace defender.
Neville said: “He [Aaron Wan-Bissaka] is pretty solid defensively, but a lot is expected of a modern full-back.
“We often say he’s not good enough with the ball, I agree with that, but that assist was absolutely brilliant.”
Wan-Bissaka has opened up his options with that performance. He has got back into contention for United, in the short-term at least, and he will have impressed potential suitors, who may be willing to make offers to sign him in January.
The future is unclear, but over the next fortnight before the transfer window opens, and while Dalot recovers, Wan-Bissaka has a job to do, and Ten Hag is pleased he is available.
