Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has hailed Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford after they combined for the winner against Leicester.
Rashford set up Sancho’s winner in the first half, with Manchester United going on to win 1-0.
This was Sancho’s second goal of the season, and Rashford’s first assist. He also has one goal to his name.
Ten Hag is pleased to see both players contributing in a positive way, and feels they deserve it.

Ten Hag hails Rashford and Sancho
Ten Hag told MUTV after the game that he likes the approach from both players, and that they are doing what he is asking from them.
He said: “I’m really happy for him [Sancho] and also the assist for Rashford is great.
“It is the reward, they both work really hard, they invested a lot in pre-season and they do lot for the team with their pressing.”
Both players began their fitness work in June, and had a full pre-season under Ten Hag, after being left out of the England squad.
They are each working hard for United, and an England recall may come their way if they can keep it up.
Rashford can still frustrate. His second half performance was a little underwhelming, but his work rate appears to be a lot harder than it was last season.
Ten Hag’s comments will also be aimed at building up the confidence of the duo. The manager knows he can get a lot more out of them, and there is also Antony now waiting in the wings.
United need quality competition, and with Rashford and Sancho are firing, Ten Hag will certainly have it.
