Manchester United’s summer transfer window has seen a number of players exit the club on loan.

With a huge squad and not enough games to play throughout the campaign due to having no European football, the loan market will be heavily leaned into by Manchester United.

With Jonny Evans becoming United’s loan manager, he will have his hands full this summer.

New free-agent addition, Enzo Kana-Biyik, has been sent on loan to Lausanne, where the hope is that he will develop into a credible option for Ruben Amorim.

The 18-year-old has been joined by several youngsters from the academy, while Marcus Rashford is expected to join Barcelona on loan imminently, where he will finally get to play for his dream club.

Now, another player who could have been in the first team is set to spend the season on loan.

Radek Vitek set to head on loan from Manchester United

In his new role, among the priorities for Evans would be Radek Vitek, who is coming off an impressive season on loan with Blau Linz.

Vitek has been tipped to reach the top level, and many fans assumed that he would be in with a chance of playing this summer. So, when Andre Onana got injured, there was a chance that Vitek may have been thrust into the starting line-up.

However, after Vitek was left out of United’s squad to face Leeds, it became clear that he hadn’t impressed in pre-season and instead would depart the club.

Now, according to Austrian outlet Kronen Zeitung, Vitek is set to head on loan this summer.

The article claims that Vitek is expected to arrive at Strum Graz in the coming days to complete his loan move to replace their injured first-choice goalkeeper.

Vitek is described as a ‘Czech soldier’, with the reigning Austrian champions interested in signing the United youngster.

The transfer was supposed to have been finalized last week, but the Austrian outlet claimed that the deal was dragging along, with things at Old Trafford considered to be moving slowly.

Ruben Amorim and Jorge Vital made quick decision on Radek Vitek

Strum Graz is clearly an upgraded destination for Vitek, earned through his excellent performances last season, but any excitement over the goalkeeper being in Amorim’s plans has dissipated.

Vitek was in first team pre-season training during the opening two weeks of the summer; however, in this time, it seems that Amorim and goalkeeping coach Jorge Vital made up their minds on him.

At the age of 21, Vitek needs first-team football, and so, with this unlikely, the loan move is vital, but probably signals his chances of ever breaking through at United as over.

Despite his colossal height of 6ft 6in, United’s staff have never committed to giving him a proper chance in goal, and so this loan could be with a view to earning a permanent move next summer.
