Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has offered an update on the injury situation ahead of Manchester United’s clash with Milan tomorrow.

Solskjaer has conducted his press conference, which was streamed live at 1:30pm on the club’s official app.

He said he doesn’t expect Marcus Rashford to be fit for the game after limping out of Sunday’s Manchester derby.

Solskjaer doesn’t expect any of the other players who missed that game to return, with only Edinson Cavani ‘maybe’ fit to play.

“I don’t think he’ll be available for tomorrow. He didn’t train today,” said Solskjaer when asked for an update on Rashford.

“You know me, I’m usually a very optimistic guy but I think he is out of tomorrow night and a doubt for the weekend.

I’m not sure if anyone will be back. David (de Gea), no. Donny (van de Beek), no. Juan (Mata), no. Edinson (Cavani), maybe. Rashford, no. So it’s a similar side to Sunday but probably missing Rashford.”

Rashford was already carrying a shoulder problem before the ankle issue which he picked up at City.

He was overdue a break from the side as it was, and Solskjaer will hope he can come back fresher – and hopefully he won’t be out for too long.

Having Cavani back would soften the blow of missing Rashford but it doesn’t sound like Solskjaer is confident of having him back.

Once again, the van de Beek will miss another potentially important chance to get a game and he’s another player who has played off the left at times this season.
