Manchester United’s stars have been commenting on social media after the dramatic late victory over Brentford.

Manchester United are bad right now. There’s no getting away from that.

But fortunately we aren’t quite bad enough to lose three consecutive games at Old Trafford.

We cut it pretty close though. Scott McTominay scored two injury-time goals to secure a dramatic 2-1 win over Brentford.

Manchester United’s players have been active on social media, celebrating the high of the victory, amid the jubilant scenes at the final whistle.

For a couple of new signings, this was their first win at Old Trafford, and it was a special one to savour.

Sofyan Amrabat wrote on Instagram: “Well deserved win! Old Trafford you were amazing! 🙌🏻❤️💪🏻”

Striker Rasmus Hojlund also embraced the moment, writing on Instagram: “Fergie time🙏🙏❤️‍🩹✝️ Old Trafford Thanks for the reception! Ones again, we couldnt have done it without you!❤️‍🔥”

There was also a message from forward Marcus Rashford, who celebrated the three points.

He wrote on Instagram: “Nothing beats a last minute winner! Well done team. 👊🏾”

And breathe…

Manchester United should be beating Brentford as a matter of routine, not making this look like such hard work.

But that’s what this season has been all about. United have four Premier League wins and four losses, and all of those victories have come via a single goal.

Scoring has been a problem, with just nine goals in seven league games, with a negative goal difference baked in.

The international break gives a time to reset, but United’s season is going to get tougher, with some very tricky fixtures upcoming at the end of the month and through November.

Let’s celebrate this win while we can, out of relief more than anything. Another loss would have been too miserable to contemplate right now.
