Sky Sports made a rather embarrassing blunder during Erik ten Hag’s press conference ahead of the Champions League clash against Copenhagen.
Manchester United need a win to kickstart their Champions League campaign after two defeats out of two and are in good form following back-to-back wins in the Premier League.
Sergio Reguilon and Kobbie Mainoo may well be set to return for United and Erik ten Hag was asked about the fitness of the defender.
After giving his answer, a rather peculiar tweet emerged from Sky Sports News’ X account, which certainly got fans talking.

Sky Sports blunder
The Sky Sports Football account tweeted that Jadon Sancho was confirmed to be back in the United squad and was available for selection for the European game at Old Trafford.

However, this is not the case. Ten Hag was asked about Reguilon and his answer seemingly got certain media outlet’s wires crossed over the Dutchman’s pronounciation of the name.
“Sergio? he trained all week, today he will train, then we have to assess if he is game fit or can be available in the squad, ten Hag said in response to the question posed by the Manchester Evening News.
Well, it has since been confirmed that Ten Hag said Sergio, not Sancho, reports Fabrizio Romano.
Sancho’s future
The English winger remains out in the cold at Old Trafford and his future in Manchester seems remote as the 23-year-old has still yet to apologise to Ten Hag for his social media outburst, which refuted the manager’s reasons for dropping him.
It now seems beyond the point of no return and Sancho’s future seems to be away from Old Trafford with a potential move to Saudi Arabia being lined up after Al-Ettifaq failed in a move in the summer just gone.
It certainly caught a few out when it seemed like Ten Hag said Sancho, but he didn’t, and for now the future seems very bleak for the former Borussia Dortmund man at Old Trafford.
