Manchester United fans could soon get a glimpse at the way the club operates under new ownership.
It is extremely refreshing to see Manchester United firing on all cylinders after what was a tiring takeover saga.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe‘s minority takeover at Old Trafford has given fans hope of a fresh new chapter, and so far the British billionaire is keeping to all of his promises.
A restructuring of United’s hierarchy was at the top of the agenda, and the arrival of Omar Berrada, Dan Ashworth and Jason Wilcox means there is now an elite sporting structure in place.
After putting faith in Erik ten Hag with a new contract, the Dutchman’s coaching staff has also been revamped with Ruud van Nistelrooy and Rene Hake joining as assistants.
The backroom changes took place just in time for United to pour all focus into the transfer market, and four signings have already arrived to join Ten Hag’s squad.
Additionally, new stadium options are still being considered with a taskforce assembled to weigh up a new state-of-the-art 100,000-seater stadium.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe working towards documentary
Compared to Premier League rivals, United have not taken advantage of content creation opportunities.
Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham have all released fly-on-the-wall documentaries to engage with fans and give insight into the running of their clubs behind the scenes.
According to The Times, Ratcliffe is exploring the possibility of producing a behind-the-scenes documentary of his time as United co-owner.
The report adds that Ratcliffe has been keeping a video diary since February and hired a sports writer to document the process.
The footage could be sold to a streaming service later down the line in what could prove to be a lucrative deal for the club.
United fans were treated to an Amazon Prime series about the 1999 United side this summer, and now a documentary on Ratcliffe’s takeover could follow.
Transparency for fans
It has been far too long since United had present owners. Seeing Ratcliffe and Sir Dave Brailsford in the stands has been a nice touch and they are certainly winning over the fanbase quickly.

Being transparent over the direction of the club and the decisions being made is all supporters ask for and a behind-the-scenes documentary would certainly add to that insight.
After years of suffering under the Glazer family, Ratcliffe and his team appear to be taking the right steps.
