Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos are stepping up their plans for Manchester United as another key staff member is set to depart, according to reports.
The deal for Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos to buy 25 per cent of Manchester United has still yet to be ratified by the Premier League but there is clearly confidence on their part this will happen as another key change is set to take place.
Omar Berrada, a key man at Manchester City for years now, has left his post at Pep Guardiola’s side and has already agreed to join United as the club’s new CEO, following Richard Arnold’s decision to leave the club.
One of the areas that fans have been bemoaning for years is the club’s poor injury record over the past few seasons and it seems Ineos have set their sights on improving this key facet of the club.

United staff member set to leave
According to The Mirror Manchester United have decided to axe a key member of the physio staff, with terms said to be ‘amicable’..
Pinning the blame on one person would be incredibly harsh but it seems this is the latest move by Ratcliffe as they aim to solve a key problem.
Gary O’Driscoll was recently appointed as head of medicine, with The Mail reporting he had been asked to undertake a major review into the club’s medical department.
Former interim manager Ralf Rangnick had called out the club’s poor injury record during his time at the club, and recommended it as an area to be improved.
Ineos’ attempts to change United
As mentioned, one of the biggest concerns during the Glazer regime has been that key areas of the football club have been left to rot and cause problems over the years.
The club’s injury problems have been well documented but right back to Louis Van Gaal’s days as United manager, these issues have persisted and it looks as if Ineos have noted this and are taking steps to rectify this.
Even this season, Erik ten Hag has had to deal with a plethora of injury problems with Lisandro Martinez, Casemiro and Luke Shaw among the long-term absentees.
If the club can address this issue, this would be a big step to getting the Red Devils back to the summit of English football.
