Sir Alex Ferguson had a special talent for getting the best out of all his Manchester United players.
One of Sir Alex Ferguson’s biggest strengths was the awareness that every player was different and needed a unique approach to get them playing their best football.
While some need the famous hairdryer treatment, others need a comforting arm around their shoulder. Maximising player’s potential is now a responsibility that falls to new head coach Ruben Amorim, who has made a bright start to life at Manchester United.
The Portuguese manager has not had long to work with his players having joined just before the start of the hectic winter schedule.
One of Amorim’s biggest challenges is trying to revive Marcus Rashford’s career as he finds himself in another slump of form.

Marcus Rashford struggling at Man United
On paper, Rashford is actually enjoying a fairly productive season with seven goals and three assists in 24 appearances so far.
However, all the noise around Rashford continues to be negative. United fans slammed Rashford’s latest display against Plzen with supporters less than impressed with his attitude in that game.
On top of that, reports claim United are open to selling Rashford at a huge discount with rumours that the club are not overly pleased with his lifestyle away from the pitch.
Rashford’s body language has been criticised as the 27-year-old forward doesn’t appear to be enjoying his football at United.
Up next for the Red Devils is a blockbuster Manchester derby and yet it seems Rashford is predicted to start on the bench vs City having failed to work his way into Amorim’s best XI.

Sir Alex Ferguson a big admirer of Marcus Rashford
Rashford may find himself on the fringes of Amorim’s United team, but it seems he would have been a key player had Ferguson still been in charge.
According to The Telegraph, Ferguson had become “convinced” that Rashford was United’s best player after his remarkable rise to stardom at United.

The legendary United boss argued that Rashford’s talents “needed harnessing” to ensure his talent and threat were maximised. That is a task that Amorim now faces.
According to the report, Ferguson would tell those within his circle that he would have “relished the chance” to work with Rashford as a player.
