Manchester United star Alejandro Garnacho has gone from strength to strength in recent years, and now his value has reflected that.

Alejandro Garnacho may only be 19 years old, but he’s already one of Erik ten Hag‘s most important players and first names on the team sheet.

The last few months in particular have seen the mercurial Argentine talent become a mainstay in the first-team even ousting the £375k-a-week man, Marcus Rashford.

This season, Garnacho has managed five goals and two assists in 26 appearances across all competitions but it’s the last two months which has seen his form explode.

Garnacho has scored four and assisted two in his last 10 games for United which shows the impressive form he is in. This has included his delightful overhead kick finish against Everton and also his brace to inspire a comeback against Aston Villa.

Now his value has been updated to reflect his recent displays.

Alejandro Garnacho is now worth more than Jack Grealish

CIES have updated their player valuations and Garnacho’s latest price tag showcases just how much of a bargain United got back in 2020.

The Old Trafford outfit signed Garnacho as a 16-year-old from Atletico Madrid for a fee of just over £100k according to The Athletic. At the time this was a fee which suggested he had bags of potential as he joined the academy and now he’s living up to those hopes.

CIES has put a market value of £81.5 million onto Garnacho, a figure which has him above players like Joao Felix (£77.9m) and Leroy Sane (£69.6m).

This price tag is likely exactly what he’s worth however at just 19, there’s every chance we could be marvelling at Garnacho as a £100m player at some point in the future.

Garnacho is only going to get better for United

There have been times this season when Garnacho has been the one United attacker putting in effort and making things happen. This makes it easy to forget he is the youngest of the lot.

Outclassing and outshining his expensive and lazy teammates, Garnacho has been incredible this campaign and a shining light amid what has been a fairly poor campaign.

The best part is, he’s only going to get better and we cannot wait to watch him and see just how special a player he becomes.
