Bruno Fernandes was at the heart of United’s performance, scoring a penalty before setting up the winner for Benjamin Sesko.

The assist was Fernandes’ 100th assist for Manchester United, and his 14th of the season so far.

Bruno Fernandes’ impact ensured Manchester United did not miss the opportunity to move above Aston Villa in the Premier League table.

The club captain posted a message on Instagram following United’s win over Palace, writing: “believe. 🔱”.

It was more interesting to see the comments from his adoring teammates, plus former colleague Juan Mata.

It’s interesting to see the plaudits for Bruno Fernandes coming from both ends of the spectrum.

On one hand you have 37-year-old Juan Mata singing his praises. And on the other you have 18-year-old Shea Lacey labelling him ‘the best’.

It shows what enduring quality Fernandes has, and importantly the positive impact he is having on the young players at the Football Club.
