Manchester United stopper Senne Lammens has been shortlisted for the Premier League Transfer of the Season.

After arriving from Royal Antwerp with no experience at the highest level, Senne Lammens acclimatised quickly to Premier League football, succeeding Andre Onana as Manchester United’s first-choice goalkeeper.

Lammens was called up to the Belgian squad for the 2026 World Cup after his impressive performances for United, in which he kept eight clean sheets in his first season at Old Trafford.

The 23-year-old United and Belgium stopper has now been nominated for a Premier League award.

Man Utd got a real bargain… how much of a bargain?

Senne Lammens among nominees for Premier League Transfer of the Season

United fans can now have their say on which player has made the biggest impact on their new club in the Premier League this past season.

Eight players have been put forward, with the vote taking place on the Premier League’s official website.

Lammens is the only new United signing on the list, but he is joined by Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Rayan Cherki, Viktor Gyokeres, Joao Pedro, Antoine Semenyo, Adrien Truffert, and Granit Xhaka.

The United stopper deserves his nomination after providing a calming presence between the sticks, producing 79 saves and preventing the most goals.

Lammens played a key role in United finishing third in the Premier League and securing Champions League qualification.

United’s latest signings who missed out on a nomination include Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko.

Man Utd’s record with Senne Lammens between the sticks

Lammens’ assured presence between the sticks has come as a relief after two years of watching Onana.

United struggled at the beginning of the season with Altay Bayindir starting ahead of Onana, but the Red Devils have lost just four of their 32 games with Lammens starting.

That shows what an incredible impact the young keeper has had on the team already.

Lammens will be aiming to build on that next season.
