Senne Lammens proved to be a brilliant signing in his first season at Manchester United as the goalkeeper acclimatised quickly to football in the Premier League.

At the age of 23, with just one full season as Royal Antwerp’s number one under his belt, Senne Lammens arrived at Manchester United to succeed Andre Onana before the Cameroon international was sent on loan to Trabzonspor.

Lammens’ rise at United has seen him become a senior Belgium international, and he will be providing cover for Thibaut Courtois at the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada.

After helping United finish third in the Premier League, Lammens has Champions League football to look forward to next season. It will mark a milestone as he’s never played in Europe’s most prestigious competition.

Senne Lammens tops Premier League charts for goals prevented

United invested heavily in a revamped forward line last summer, but Lammens proved to be the club’s best signing.

Lammens has been a revelation since moving to Old Trafford, keeping Altay Bayindir out of the team, much to the approval of United fans.

The statistics via GeniusIQ data (via Sky Sports) show Lammens prevented more goals (6.39) than any other goalkeeper in the Premier League this past season.

Other keepers in the top five, who prevented fewer goals than Lammens, include Bart Verbruggen, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Jordan Pickford, and former United keeper Dean Henderson.

This shows that Lammens is outperforming every Premier League goalkeeper for goals prevented, after just one season in England’s top flight.
