Manchester United have some very talented players at the club, and Ruben Amorim has been raving about one star who the opposition are terrified of.

The squad at Ruben Amorim’s disposal is the best Manchester United has had in years. In particular, the defence and the attack are now packed with profiles who can decide games.

The majority of these top-class players have been signed by Ineos, with Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha already passing the United test, as they impress every week.

Bruno Fernandes is another who can win United games on his own, but Amorim has now been raving about a player who he says gets into his opponents’ heads.

Ruben Amorim lauds Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha

Since arriving in the summer, both Cunha and Mbeumo have been excellent for Manchester United, revitalising an attack which had been toothless for years.

Two absolute game changers, and Amorim is thrilled to have them, as the United head coach explained to the Men in Blazers podcast.

“The mentality of these two players. Cunha is a maverick. Cunha does things that are hard to find in some players because he plays with the ball, but he has an aura that can do something to the opponent’s heads and that is really important.

“Bryan is really direct, and we missed that last year. The way every time we have the ball, and you can see in the fourth goal that we score against Brighton, you can sense when the ball is going to our defender, he is already running to position.

“These kinds of things, small things that people don’t see, are massive to turn our team in more more danger team at the other end of the field.”

Both Cunha and Mbeumo bring such different qualities to Manchester United, yet both are somehow perfect for the Red Devils and fit perfectly at the club.

Matheus Cunha is giving Ruben Amorim what he wanted at Manchester United

Cunha had a hot and cold start to life as a United player, showing some incredible moments, but he was unable to find his first goal until the 4-2 win against Brighton.

Here, Cunha was immense for United, continuing a streak of good performances, repaying Amorim’s faith and demand that the Brazilian kick on.

Cunha has brought so much to United on and off the pitch, making him an instant club hero at Old Trafford. However, Amorim is particularly happy with Cunha’s work rate, with the 26-year-old silencing any criticisms over his effort levels before he arrived.

As a player, he has that special something which is hard to pin down, but can be best described as magic, and opponents know it.

The scary thing is that Cunha will only get better.
