Ruben Amorim provides Bruno Fernandes update

Fernandes has started every match for United this season, so losing the 30-year-old to injury would be disastrous for Ruben Amorim.

Since making his move to Old Trafford in 2020, Fernandes boasts a remarkable injury record, missing only three matches through injury.

After the full-time whistle, Amorim was asked about Fernandes reaching for his hamstring, and the United boss quickly cleared up what had happened.

Speaking to TNT Sports, Amorim said: “It was a kick. I was shouting at him because he needs to learn that we will make a substitution if he talks to the bench.

“But he said it was just a kick, so everything is okay.”

With Amorim rubbishing any injury claims, Fernandes should be fit to face West Ham on Thursday evening.
