Ruben Amorim has now admitted that there are two potential injury concerns in his Manchester United first-team squad ahead of the Premier League match against Brighton.
The 40-year-old Manchester United manager was at the Carrington training complex on Friday afternoon ahead of the Red Devils’ final Premier League outing in October.
Ruben Amorim will be hopeful of building further momentum on Saturday evening against Brighton, with United hosting the Seagulls at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils head coach has overseen back-to-back Premier League wins for the first time since he left Sporting CP and replaced Erik ten Hag at United in 2024.
United defeated Sunderland 2-0 at Old Trafford ahead of the October break before the Red Devils secured a stunning 2-1 victory over Liverpool at Anfield last Sunday.
Harry Maguire and Mason Mount are both part of Man Utd’s injury update from Ruben Amorim
Harry Maguire played the full 90 minutes of United’s Premier League contest against Liverpool and the former Red Devils skipper scored the winner in the second half.
Mason Mount started for United in the Liverpool match and the former Chelsea ace was deployed in the attack alongside Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo.
However, the 26-year-old United No 7 was withdrawn in the second half at Anfield and was replaced by summer signing Benjamin Sesko in the 61st minute.
Ruben Amorim has now confirmed that both Harry Maguire and Mason Mount have been marked as potential “doubts” for the Brighton match on Saturday evening.
“Squad is fine, we have some doubts some issues during the week with Maguire and Mount,” he said, as per the Manchester Evening News.
“Nothing serious but doubts.”

Lisandro Martinez has been a long-term absentee for the Red Devils and the defender has not featured for United in the 2025-26 Premier League season.
The 27-year-old Argentine missed the second half of the 2024-25 campaign due to a knee injury and has been racing to return to full fitness for the Premier League side.
Speaking on Lisandro Martinez, Amorim said: “Licha is out.
“Brighton are really fun to watch; they are strong on transitions [and] they are a team who are really complete.
“We need to be really smart.”
United are ninth in the Premier League table and the Red Devils are only one point ahead of 10th-place Brighton ahead of Saturday’s contest at Old Trafford.
