Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim is finally set to start work at Old Trafford and will be trying to learn about his players as quickly as possible.
Manchester United are embarking on a new era with Ruben Amorim now arriving from Sporting.
United appointed Amorim as head coach on November 1, just days after the sacking of Erik ten Hag.
The deal saw Amorim stay in charge of Sporting until the international break though, meaning United have been forced to wait to welcome the new man.
Amorim won his final game as Sporting boss on Sunday, beating Braga 4-2 having fallen 2-0 down in the first half.
Amorim then arrived at Carrington on Monday as he gears up to take charge against Ipswich Town.

Ruben Amorim already a big fan of ‘generational’ Manchester United fan
Amorim arrives with a handful of United players currently away on international duty.
That isn’t exactly ideal in terms of learning about his players as quickly as possible ahead of that Ipswich clash.
Amorim will already be well aware of some United players though, and not just his former Sporting star Manuel Ugarte.
Fabrizio Romano now reports that Amorim is already a big fan of summer signing Leny Yoro.
United agreed to pay up to £52million for Yoro over the summer having been impressed with his displays at Lille.
The 18-year-old has shown huge potential and Romano claims that United consider him a ‘generational talent’.
Amorim is understood to agree with that verdict and considers Yoro to be ‘one of the most interesting players to develop’ at United.
Yoro is nearing a return from injury and may become a vital part of Amorim’s plans moving forward.
Leny Yoro could be key to Amorim approach
Amorim has almost exclusively used a 3-4-3 system in his managerial career and is likely to bring that approach to Old Trafford too.
Jamie Carragher has doubted Matthijs de Ligt and Harry Maguire in terms of their suitability for the right-sided centre back role in Amorim’s back three.
A wide centre back needs to be mobile and comfortable in wide areas whilst supporting attacking play with passing and ball-carrying ability from the back.
Yoro already ticks a number of those boxes and has the potential to become an ideal right-sided centre back in the future.
Amorim sees that potential too and he will surely play a key role with few other United defenders suited to the right-sided centre back position.
