Roy Keane and Gary Neville both dropped their major scoreline predictions for Manchester United’s upcoming Premier League clash with Newcastle on Sunday.

The Red Devils were in action in the Premier League last Sunday and Manchester United and Manchester City played out an uneventful 0-0 scoreline at Old Trafford.

Following United and City’s result in the last Manchester derby of the season, the Red Devils travelled to France for the next phase of their Europa League campaign.

Ruben Amorim’s men were in action on Thursday when they took to the Parc Olympique Lyonnais to face Lyon in the first leg of the Europa League quarter-finals.

United languish in 13th place in the Premier League table and the Red Devils are currently on course for their worst finish since the league’s formation in 1992.

Ruben Amorim’s side have won only two of their last five matches in the Premier League ahead of their trip to face Newcastle at St James’ Park this weekend.

Roy Keane and Ian Wright both reveal their Premier League prediction for Newcastle vs Man Utd at St James’ Park

Speaking on The Overlap, Roy Keane and Ian Wright teamed up to take on Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville for their regular segment on Premier League predictions.

Keane didn’t think twice about putting down a 3-1 scoreline prediction for Newcastle against Manchester United, but Ian Wright wasn’t sold on the result that he picked.

“It’s us. Newcastle […] 3-1,” he said on the Stick to Football show.

Responding to United legend Keane, Arsenal hero Wright said: “I don’t like it.”

Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher predicted Newcastle and Man Utd’s Premier League contest at St James’ Park

Jamie Carragher wasn’t in The Overlap’s studio for the episode and United legend Neville was speaking to his fellow Sky Sports pundit on the phone.

Both Neville and Carragher disagreed with the scoreline from Keane and Ian Wright, which prompted the former United midfielder to hit back at the pair.

Responding to Neville and Carragher, Keane said: “No, they’re positive. Where’s your positivity? Entertainment! Newcastle are going for the Champions League.”

Neville suggested to Carragher either a draw or a Newcastle win as the outcome of the Premier League match, but the pair settled on a 2-1 scoreline for the Magpies.

Speaking on the phone, Neville asked: “Carra, what do you think? Maybe 2-1 or do you think 1-1?”

The United legend then added: “2-1 Newcastle.”

Newcastle are fifth in the Premier League – a point clear of sixth-place Manchester City – and are level on points with fourth-place Chelsea with a match in hand.
