Cristiano Ronaldo has left Juventus to re-join Manchester United.
Yesterday afternoon, Juve boss Max Allegri confirmed that the Portuguese superstar wanted to leave Turin.
After a blockbuster 24 hours, some of Ronaldo’s former teammates in Italy have reacted to the news.
They know they’re losing an incredible player from their dressing room; one who was brought in to help the club win the Champions League.
A whole host of Allegri’s players took to Instagram to react to the news.
We’ve picked out Aaron Ramsey, Mathijs de Ligt and Weston McKennie’s but there were messages from Alvaro Morata, Federico Chiesa, Leonardo Bonucci and more.
Everyone connected with United was thrilled to get Ronaldo back, and that shows the hole which will be left in Juventus’ squad.
They will remain the favourites to win Serie A but they have lost one of the best players in the world.
That’s not an easy blow to recover from, even for a club of Juve’s size. And they’re doing it on the back of a disappointing fourth place finish last time around.
United will expect to finish higher than that with Ronaldo now in their ranks and it’s clear the to see the strength of feeling from Italy about the news.
We just can’t wait to see him back in that famous red shirt, back at Old Trafford in front of the fans who adore him so much.
