Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag picked the same starting XI for a third successive game as the team earned a third win.
Key to the team’s success is a new defensive axis, with Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane forging a strong partnership at the back.
The Argentine and the Frenchman appear to complement each other well, with United conceding just one goal in the three matches they have played together.
Manchester United fans are enjoying watching them, and the duo are very happy playing together.

Martinez loves playing alongside Varane
Varane posted on Instagram after United’s 1-0 win over Leicester. He is now preparing to potentially start a fourth game in a row this weekend against Arsenal.
After an injury hit first season following his £34 million move from Real Madrid, United are currently seeing the best of the France international.
Martinez looks assured playing alongside Varane, and he was one of the teammates to reach out to the centre-back on Instagram after the victory.
The Argentine wrote, ‘what a pleasure to play by your side brother’, showing the growing camaraderie and respect between the pair.

In a separate message, Martinez also hailed Diogo Dalot, describing him as a ‘machine’.
The former Ajax star is becoming a quick hit at Old Trafford himself, he won the club’s player of the month for August, and he has also been picked out by fellow new boy Antony as a player he loves to watch.
