Manchester United’s upcoming Europa League opponents Real Betis will head to Old Trafford looking to spring a surprise this week.
Whether they have their captain Sergio Canales in the starting line-up, remains to be seen, as he is battling an injury.
Canales, 32, is a key player for Betis, who he has played for since 2018. He made his name at Real Madrid back in 2010 when they signed him to mix in with their Galacticos model but he failed to settle at the Bernabeu.
He hopes to be fit to play against Manchester United this week after picking up an injury.

Sergio Canales injury situation
Canales is the Real Betis captain, having racked up more than 150 appearances for the club in recent seasons.
However, he picked up an injury against Real Valladolid last month and had to be substituted at half-time.
This came as a blow. Canales had already scored one and provided an assist in that match, and had three goals in three games prior to the injury.
Spanish newspaper AS report Canales did train with the Real Betis team on Monday, with heavy strapping on his left thigh.
The paper claim that Canales is ‘going to do everything possible’ to try and be fit as he is desperate to play on the big stage at Old Trafford with his team.
Canales missed the match against his former side Real Madrid at the weekend. Betis still managed to claim a 0-0 draw without him.
However, already missing Nabil Fekir through a season ending injury, Betis will rely on Canales for creativity and will want him to play, and we suspect he will start.
