New signing Rasmus Hojlund is continuing to train individually as he works on his fitness.

With it being a fortnight now since he officially joined Manchester United, fans are yet to see Rasmus Hojlund in action.

Following his unveiling in front of a packed out Old Trafford, it was revealed Hojlund would actually miss some time due to an injury he sustained during pre-season for Atalanta.

He is dealing with a small injury to his back which needs time to heal, to avoid it becoming a recurrent issue.

But after seeing a toothless United performance against Wolves on Monday night, fans don’t want to wait too much longer to see him in action.

This means upon seeing Hojlund’s short message, supporters were left feeling fairly optimistic.

Hojlund sends fans a message

Clearly the young Danish striker is aware that fans are desperate for his return, as he posted on his Instagram to tease fans.

He gave fans a glimpse into his training with a photo showing him still on the pitch at Carrington, despite it being in solo training still.

On the photo he captioned a series of emojis which read ‘soon Red Devil’, clearly a hint at his fitness progress.

His return to health can’t come soon enough for United and Erik ten Hag as we were crying out for a striker against Wolves.

Return is needed ASAP

Marcus Rashford showed again on Monday that he is best served on the left-wing with a poor performance through the middle.

This is only making the need for Hojlund more clear, and it must be agonising for Ten Hag to have to wait.

His return would be a welcome boost and while he won’t be fit to play against Spurs, we would be surprised if he isn’t ready to face Nottingham Forest or Arsenal who are United’s third and fourth opponents.

We can’t wait to see him in action, see you soon Rasmus.
