Rasmus Hojlund has lauded Cristiano Ronaldo as a ‘proper goalscorer’ during a recent interview with club media.
Signed in the summer, Rasmus Hojlund has been one of Manchester United‘s standout performers this season upfront. Five Champions League goals show he’s a player for the big occasion but still awaits his inaugural domestic goal.
Hojlund’s performances have warranted praise from several United legends including Paul Scholes, but now Hojlund has praised a club legend.
Legendary United star Cristiano Ronaldo was the focus of his praise.

Hojlund on Ronaldo
Speaking to club media, Hojlund raved about United legend, Ronaldo and admitted he tried to learn from the Portuguese star who left United in 2022, while being managed by Erik ten Hag.
“I always thought he was the best football player in the world and I just tried to learn from him.
“He is the greatest goalscorer ever, probably as well. I’ve always looked at him back in the day where he was more of a dribbler and now he’s a proper, proper goalscorer.
“You know he had proper talent, but he worked hard to be the best ever and I like that about him.”
Can Hojlund follow in Ronaldo’s footsteps?
Hojlund shows a little glimpse in every game of his world-class ability which we know he has. Even when he has a quiet game there is always something which makes us think he’s something special.
Whether that is some excellent hold-up play, a dribble to create himself a chance or just good movement, once he starts scoring we don’t think he will stop.
This Saturday against Luton is the ideal opportunity for him to open his domestic account and score in the Premier League.
