Fellow goalscorer Marcus Rashford praised the Brazilian after the match along with Tyrell Malacia and Alejandro Garnacho.

All three responded to Casemiro’s message on Instagram following Manchester United’s victory.

Casemiro dominates again

Casemiro followed up his early goal with a superb performance as United racked up another victory.

The former Real Madrid midfielder has brought an authority and guidance to United’s midfield which has been lacking for years.

Marcus Rashford revealed a new nickname for Casemiro after his latest performance, hailing him as ‘The Rock’.

Whether a comparison to the WWE star turned actor, or simply a physical ‘rock’, either work. Casemiro is a dominant and imposing figure in United’s midfield.

Like movie star The Rock, Casemiro is said to be at home off the pitch when he is in the gym.

A source told the Daily Star earlier this season, “He’s not the biggest guy in the world but he’s as strong as an ox and can push 300kg with his eyes shut.”

The Mirror reported: “Ccontacts at Real Madrid had already alluded to the midfielder’s penchant for lifting weights as early as 8am during his time in the Spanish capital.

“A United employee was sent to film a walkthrough of the gym facilities available at the club’s Carrington training base after Casemiro requested an oversight of what was on offer.”

Casemiro is currently making Manchester United’s pitch his workout area, helping the team to win after win, with clean sheets. Long may it continue.
