Andre Onana has had a rough start to life in Manchester since his big-money move to the club from Inter Milan this summer.
Manchester United shelled out £43 million for the former Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana as Erik ten Hag deemed the 27-year-old good enough to be the starting goalkeeper at Old Trafford.
However, the Cameroon international has not had a good start to life at United and was too weak once again when Mathias Jensen’s shot for Brentford, which was nearly down the middle of the goal, squeezed past him.
United eventually turned the game around and Onana was one of the players caught up in the emotional celebration following Scott McTominay’s late double.

Schmeichel on Onana
One man who certainly knows what it takes to be a success at Old Trafford for multiple years is Peter Schmeichel.
The Danish shot-stopper may well go down as the club’s greatest-ever goalkeeper and the former United man, speaking on Premier League Productions, has given some much-needed advice to the former Ajax goalkeeper
“I think a lot of that [Onana’s mistakes] is pressure,” Schmeichel said. “I spoke to him after Bayern. I spoke to him after Galatasaray as well and he was very down on the mistakes he made.
“I’m trying to speak to him about what it’s like being at Manchester United and why whatever [mistakes] you’ve made, you have to put it in a box and put it to the side.
“If you make a mistake in the game, it might be a mistake we can see, it might be a mistake that we don’t see but you have to set it aside, but he doesn’t seem to be doing that.
“They will now not trust him even more, and my god, it’s not good.”
Is Onana good enough for United
The 27-year-old certainly proved to be a smart addition for Inter Milan as he was arguably the man of the match in the Champions League final against Manchester City.
The pressure of being number one at United, however, is a world away from being goalkeeper at Inter Milan.
Every mistake you make is amplified and magnified, and mental toughness is key to succeeding at Old Trafford.
You could argue that Onana has this mental toughness needed to be a success at Old Trafford, this was shown by his post-match interview after his mistake in Munich.
However, things need to improve fast for the 27-year-old with Altay Bayindir, who joined the club this summer as backup, breathing down his neck.
