Manchester United require major work under Ruben Amorim and Paul Scholes has suggested selling a number of players.
Ruben Amorim is finding that he just can’t rely on this Manchester United squad.
Optimism appeared to be rising after a draw at Liverpool and a penalty shoot-out victory over Arsenal in the FA Cup.
United then followed that up with an unconvincing home win over Southampton before losing at home to Brighton and Hove Albion.
Amorim can’t build any momentum with this squad and is no doubt desperate to make big changes.
United are in talks to sign Patrick Dorgu but some major departures may be required to freshen up this squad.

Paul Scholes on Manchester United squad
United fans could probably sit around and name a bunch of players they want to sell.
That isn’t how the transfer market works though and United’s inconsistent nature means that players may not attract all that much interest.
Former United star Paul Scholes has now been asked for his opinions on United players and who he would keep or sell whilst speaking to TNT Sports on Instagram.
Goalkeeper Andre Onana has put himself in danger with some significant mistakes but Scholes would still keep him.
Scholes also suggested keeping Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho, seemingly seeing big potential in both players.
Scholes unsurprisingly suggested selling a number of other players, including Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw, Mason Mount, Casemiro, Antony and Marcus Rashford.
The former midfielder even suggested selling two players that United only signed over the summer – Dutch duo Matthijs de Ligt and Joshua Zirkzee.
“He’s done okay of late but I think I’d sell,” said Scholes when asked about De Ligt, before simply stating ‘sell’ on Zirkzee.

Matthijs de Ligt and Joshua Zirkzee to stay this month
Scholes seemingly hasn’t been entirely convinced by what he has seen from De Ligt or Zirkzee in the opening months of their United careers.
We certainly can’t see De Ligt going anywhere any time soon though.
De Ligt has taken on a key role under Amorim and looks to be a player United will build around defensively.
De Ligt is relishing the pressure at United and having seen his moves to Juventus and Bayern Munich fall flat, we can’t see him wanting to leave so quickly.
The chances of Zirkzee leaving United seem a little stronger with the striker enduring a tough start.
Juventus have been linked with Zirkzee but they have just signed Randal Kolo Muani, meaning there will be no move for Zirzkee.
Perhaps a summer move could be a possibility for Zirkzee but he will be looking to turn his United career around in the coming months.
