Paul Scholes has responded to Antony after the Manchester United winger criticised Manchester United club legends earlier today.
Manchester United have had a crisis which has seen leaks, dressing room unrest and the recent banning of certain outlets from press conferences, but this morning Antony began a new argument at the club.
Speaking with The United Stand, Antony explained the hard time he’s had since making the move to England and slammed club legends who have been hyper-critical of him.
He said: “None of them have ever sent me a message to see how I am feeling, especially during this period of turbulence that I am going through. The ‘digital court’ is ruining lives; contexts are left aside, and the truth no longer matters.”
Now, in a shocking development, Paul Scholes has responded to Antony just hours before United take on Chelsea.
Paul Scholes responds to Antony’s criticisms
After Antony’s quotes had been circulated online, Manchester United legend Paul Scholes reacted to the interview Antony gave.
He took to Instagram with some advice for Antony ahead of a crucial game against Chelsea tonight at Old Trafford.
He wrote: “Run as fast as you can up and down, score goals and make goals pls… good luck tonight my friend @antony00.”
Scholes then cheekily followed this with a kissing face emoji as he sent a clear message to the number 21 that he needs to play better and stop blaming pundits.

Scholes is one of those pundits who have often criticised Antony however he is rarely wrong in his verdict on the Brazilian.
He is also fair and often does praise Antony on the rare occasions he has warranted it, such as following a game against Barcelona earlier this year.
Following a big win against Everton in April, Scholes recognised Antony’s improvement which shows he is fair and judges the player solely on his recent displays.
Antony needs to knuckle down and play better because anyone watching can see he hasn’t done nearly enough to justify his transfer so far.
