Manchester United youngster Alejandro Garnacho was selected from the start against Real Sociedad in a bold call from manager Erik ten Hag.
Garnacho quickly proved his manager right, scoring the opening goal of the game in the Europa League tie.
The 18-year-old finished clinically after being put through by Cristiano Ronaldo, to score his first goal for the club.
Speaking to BT Sport, Manchester United legend Paul Scholes spoke highly of the teenager, who celebrated his goal by replicating Ronaldo’s new celebration.

Scholes raves over Alejandro Garnacho
Scholes said he was impressed with the way Garnacho took the goal to put Manchester United 1-0 up.
The former United number 18 said: “He’s been United’s most dangerous player.
“The first touch is OK, the second touch makes the goal. He’s deserved it. He’s been the biggest attacking threat on the pitch, great movement.”
Co-pundit Owen Hargreaves went on to describe Garnacho’s goal as ‘amazing’ and said he enjoyed the way he took the goal with so much confidence.
This was only Garnacho’s second start for Manchester United, following a man of the match performance against Sheriff Tiraspol at Old Trafford last week.
United needed a second goal to clinch top spot in the group but were unable to add to Garnacho’s opener, winning the game 1-0.
