Manchester United have a decision to make over who will play on the right wing against Brighton this weekend.

The only thing we know for sure over Manchester United’s selection call this weekend is who won’t play on the right wing.

Jadon Sancho is out due to a club discipline issue, while Antony is unavailable due to a legal matter.

It is a dilemma, with many Manchester United fans hoping Facundo Pellistri will finally get his first ever Premier League start.

Paul Merson predicts Man Utd starter

Sky pundit Paul Merson does not believe it will be Facundo Pellistri who starts on Manchester United’s right wing, tipping another South American to get the nod instead.

He believes it should be Alejandro Garnacho lining up in place of Antony, even though his preferred role is on the left.

Merson told SportsKeeda: “There have been reports that Facundo Pellistri is in line for a start, but I think Marcus Rashford will be joined by Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund up front.”

He added that he believes Garnacho is better as an impact substitute, and says he believes Jadon Sancho could still rescue his United career if he works hard behind the scenes.

Merson predicts dropped points for United

Merson says he believes Brighton will take points from Manchester United, calling the scoreline as 2-2.

He noted: “This game could turn out to be a bit of a nightmare for Manchester United as Brighton are a hard team to play against.”

Considering all the issues United are dealing with, and Brighton’s quality, predicting a draw is not unreasonable. It is just not what we want to hear.
