Patrick Dorgu completed his Manchester United transfer this weekend.
The young left wing-back has been handed the No.13 shirt following his £24.7 million move from Lecce, which includes add-ons potentially taking the fee to around £31m.
Patrick Dorgu was unveiled at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon alongside Ayden Heaven just moments before the Premier League clash against Crystal Palace.
Unfortunately, United were unable to take three points from the game, so it was a disappointing evening other than getting to welcome our new recruits.
Dorgu is under contract at United until 2030 with an option to extend for a year.
The Denmark international is likely to go straight into the team due to United’s shortage of options at left wing-back. Luke Shaw is returning from injury but it remains to be seen if he’ll ever be the same player after being plagued by knocks and niggles.
Dorgu joins a list of young talents signed by Ineos and there is belief he can become a key player under Ruben Amorim.

Patrick Dorgu shows gratitude after Lecce exit
The 20-year-old, who wore the No.13 shirt at Lecce, is ready for the next chapter in his exciting career which began at FC Nordsjaelland’s reserves.
Dorgu joins the biggest club in the toughest league the world has to offer.
It can be emotional saying goodbyes as a footballer since Dorgu will forever respect Lecce for the opportunities they gave him at an early stage of his career. He took to Instagram on Sunday to bid farewell to the Serie A outfit.
“The time has come for me to open a new chapter in my career, but before I do, I want to express my deepest gratitude for the opportunity you have given me.
“You were the only club that truly believed in me, and I am very thankful for the player you have helped me become today.
“I also want to give a huge thank you to the fans, my teammates, managers, medical staff, and board members, and everyone who has supported me during these incredible 2.5 years at this wonderful club.
“Forza Lecce.”
Dorgu prepares for Manchester United debut
Dorgu will likely go straight into the team in his first week as a United player.
United’s next fixture is in the FA Cup when Ruud van Nistelrooy’s Leicester City travel to Old Trafford.
It will all depend on how Dorgu settles in during his first week of training, but fitness levels shouldn’t be a problem due to the fact he has been playing for Lecce up until this point.
Dorgu will be tasked immediately with acclimatising to English football.
