Jadon Sancho has left Manchester United for Borussia Dortmund and is unlikely to play for the Red Devils again.
Talent can make up for a lot in football. But it can’t counter-balance a poor attitude, which led to Jadon Sancho choosing not to play for Manchester United over the past few months.
All that was required of Sancho was an apology to his manager, to get his career back on track after his social media outburst.
Erik ten Hag had hoped that when he called Sancho out for under-par training efforts, the player would respond with a new determination.

Instead he received an immature response, with the player effectively deciding to end his Manchester United career, and decline the chance to represent the club paying his expensive wages.

Manchester United’s goodbye message to Jadon Sancho
Manchester United’s loan move to Borussia Dortmund was sealed yesterday, much to the excitement of the German club.
There was relative indifference at Manchester United, summed up by the club’s short Instagram message to the winger.
It read: “Good luck for the rest of 2023/24, Jadon.”
And that was it. Sancho cannot say that he deserves more, either. Manchester United are moving on.
Two players ‘like’ exit message
Manchester United’s players have been left picking up the slack for Sancho this season, who left them in the lurch amid an injury and form crisis, while being highly paid.
Would they even want him back, if the option presented itself in the summer?
Its doubtful many would fight for his inclusion in the squad.
In response to Manchester United’s message to Sancho, there were no farewell wishes from his teammates.
And only two senior stars even bothered to ‘like’ the post.
This included his close pal Marcus Rashford, who was so excited when he signed for the club, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who flew with him to New York shortly after his fallout with Erik ten Hag.
Those two, it seems, genuinely want Sancho to succeed on his loan. The rest of them, probably won’t be paying attention.
