Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea was one of the team’s heroes in a 1-0 win over West Ham.
The Spaniard produced a series of critical late saves to preserve the clean sheet and enable United to walk away with all three points.
It was very different to De Gea’s night against Sheriff Tiraspol on Thursday night, in which he did not have a single save to make.
He made four crucial saves against West Ham, and was also quick off his line to prevent danger when the away side had an opening in the first half.
It was the best goalkeeping performance Old Trafford had witnessed since Omonia stopper Francis Uzoho’s inspired display a fortnight earlier.

Uzoho reacts to David de Gea’s Manchester United performance
Uzoho is a Manchester United supporter, who makes no secret of this on his social media pages. David de Gea is a player he looks up to.
He took notice of De Gea’s great saves against the Hammers at the weekend, posting on Twitter to commend the Spaniard’s display.
De Gea was singled out for praise by opposition manager David Moyes after the game, who saw the player he once managed, frustrate him once again.
In a week in which De Gea learned he would not be selected in Spain’s World Cup squad, De Gea has stepped up with an excellent response.
He is putting together a real statement to Manchester United too, with his contract set to expire at the end of the season.
