Manchester United are set to announce the signing of Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund this weekend, this is despite the player passing his medical yesterday.
The forward also is believed to have signed his contract at United but the forward won’t be announced until the weekend.
United have two more friendly games before the new season kicks off, they take on RC Lens at Old Trafford and it seems the player could be paraded onto the pitch similar to Raphael Varane and Brazilian midfielder Casemiro.
The Danish forward‘s signing has been slightly delayed due to paperwork issues according to the Manchester Evening News, so United have seemingly decided to take the opportunity to make him feel welcome.

Varane and Casemiro did it before
The pair, both purchased from Real Madrid, were wheeled out at Old Trafford, one in 2021, the other in 2022. Varane came out against Leeds whilst Casemiro came out against Liverpool.
United played a blinder, with both coming out before a big game at Old Trafford and naturally, it got the United fans up for the occasion and both games ended in resounding victories.
Both have been huge successes at Old Trafford and it could be argued that the introductions that they both received may well have played a part in their good starts to life at Old Trafford and the high regard they are both held in at United.

Will Hojlund be match fit
The Danish forward may well not be match fit to start United’s opening game against Wolves. That’s why it would have been ideal to see him in action.
The forward could yet feature against Athletic Bilbao in the final pre-season game for United, which takes place a day later in Dublin.
Whether one pre-season game will be enough for the forward to be ready to start against Wolves remains to be seen, but he has been playing in warm-up games for Atalanta too.
