How many can he score? Former United striker Dion Dublin is feeling quietly confident about the Dane.
Dublin spoke post-match on MUTV, and said: “I like him. He will score 20 goals if you give him the right service, he’s got a ruthless attitude.”
Dublin had earlier praised Hojlund scoring his first half header, discussing how difficult it is to score like that when the ball is crossed in at a fast pace.
He added: “You’ve got to be careful how you head it. Brilliant finish.”
Reasonable expectations
Dublin is right to set a realistic target of 20 goals for Hojlund to aim at. With three already, Hojlund is making steady progress.
The performances of Erling Haaland at City last season have skewed expectation of what can be possible, with the Norwegian scoring more than 50 goals.
