Manchester United faced Galatasaray in Champions League action tonight losing 3-2. With Rasmus Hojlund stealing all the positive headlines with two goals.
Speaking at half-time on TNT sports, Rio Ferdinand was raving about what he saw from Rasmus Hojlund as he scored his second Manchester United goal, and first of the night.
He said: “I love Hojlund’s desire to get in there, fantastic to get on the end of that.”
Hojlund did really well to get himself into a position from which he couldn’t possibly miss.
A wonderful goal and his first of hopefully many at Old Trafford, a real strikers goal which we have missed in recent years.
While on the second Hojlund strike, Ferdinand praised the “composure” and claimed he “could be the real deal.”
But Ferdinand wasn’t the only ex-player praising the Danish striker after his goals.

Dion Dublin on Hojlund
Speaking on MUTV during the game, former red Dion Dublin was also full of praise for Hojlund.
“Like a centre-forward should, he gets in a good position then ‘bam’. It’s a really difficult header.
“When it’s coming at pace you’ve got to be careful how you head it. Brilliant finish.”
Hojlund showed his finishing again as he thought he had a second before it was ruled out for offside, and again for the third time he put the ball in the net.
Can he kick on in the Premier League?
Hojlund’s scored what was the second and third goals of his Manchester United career tonight. Coincidentally it was his second and third in the Champions League this season too.
While scoring so many in Europes most elite competition is amazing and long may it continue, he needs to show this goal scoring prowess in the league.
Could Brentford on Saturday be the day be breaks his Premier League duck? We certainly hope so.
