Michael Carrick’s unique Manager of the Month feat

United went unbeaten in the month of January, starting with two draws under Ruben Amorim followed by back-to-back wins over Manchester City and Arsenal under Carrick.

As a result, Carrick has been nominated for Manager of the Month for January. He is up against Sean Dyche (Nottingham Forest), Andoni Iraola (Bournemouth) and Liam Rosenior (Chelsea) as his competition.

Interestingly, only six managers have ever previously won the award while carrying an interim status.
